It is important that all kids participate in the traditions of society so that we all have common experiences that bond us together. Foster kids often miss out on those fun holiday related activities. Young adults don’t always make community service a priority.

With those factors in mind, and because it’s fun to help kids, we host an Easter party for the children at Five Acres. Through the Easter party, we are enriching those kids’ lives as well as providing an example for young professionals of the joy of giving back. Five Acres is a well established local residential facility here in the Pasadena area for foster children. The Jaycees committee puts together lunch, activities, an Easter egg hunt and provides the kids with pictures with the Easter bunny.
